Daimler has a long and proud history in Northeast Asia, where it has operations in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the Republic of Korea. Based in Beijing, Daimler Northeast Asia oversees the Company activities and joint ventures in the region.

Daimler has been present in the Northeast Asia since the early part of last century, and was the first company to establish an international automotive joint venture in Mainland China Beijing Jeep Corporation (BJC) in 1983.

Today, all of Daimler business units are represented in Northeast Asia - Mercedes Car Group, Chrysler Group, Truck Division and Daimler Financial Services. In conjunction with its partners the Company is investing more than Euro 1.5 billion to expand its operations, including production of passenger cars, multi-purpose vehicles, buses and medium and heavy trucks.

Daimler Northeast Asia, based in Beijing, oversees the Company passenger car and commercial vehicle business development and coordination in MainlandChina.
