Position: Corporate general legal counsel
Job Description:
1. Overall responsible for all legal systems and legal matters of the company
2. Build up solid corporate legal systems and procedure and process
3. Work closely with R&D team and IP counsel to establish software IP strategy and systems, handle the IP disputes concerning the company
4. Work closely with management and operation team for the enhancement of copyright affairs on content acquired and handle the litigation concerning the company
5. Participant and provide the professional opinion on all major projects including financing, investment, M&A and major contracts
6. Be responsible to review, approve and maintain all legal agreement and contract, provide legal opinion to the management
7. In charge of all legal compliance with PRC laws and regulations and related laws and practice
8. Work closely with senior management, maintain a good balance between protecting the company interests and driving business forward
9. Build, lead, coach and retain legal team at all levels
Qualification:
1. A legal degree from a top-tier law school or university (China) with excellent academic credentials. The solid understanding of US legal systems will be a plus.
2. 5-8 years of experience at a top law firm or as in-house counsel with the strong understanding of IP and copyright. The experience in listed internet/IT/media companies is desirable.
3. Excellent communication skills (Mandarin & English);
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
5. Good business acumen and strategic thinking ability and experience with software related business and technology and revenue issues.
6. Qualified to practice in China with PRC lawyer license;
7. US law school education is a plus (LLM or JD);
