With a strong background in executive-level communication, building customer and partner relationships, and territory planning and segmentation. Previous experience building and leading sales teams focused on Key Accounts is required. This role involves positioning and promoting the partner value proposition, leading account managers in the development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing relationships.
• Along with sales planning, this position is responsible for accurate forecasting. • Direct customer contact will comprise a major portion of this assignment. • Must have both the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process. • Must be able to lead a remote sales team, with both direct and indirect reports. • Will need to make important resource decisions that apply both corporate and account team resources to new opportunities. • Will be responsible for motivating and developing the Account Managers, Sales Engineers, and Cisco KAM Partnerships. • Effectively motivating sales account managers, providing development through continual direct feedback, coaching and mentoring.
• Current management experience of a sales or revenue generating team. • Strong leadership skills in a global teaming environment. • 5+ years of sales experience in software and/or services environments. • 2+ years of experience selling or team management in web conferencing or similar role. • Specific examples of closing large, strategic deals. • Knowledge of global markets. • Developing customer relationships. • Understanding a broad range of technologies required. • BA degree - MBA or graduate degree preferred.
