The Sales Trainer is a senior position on the sales team, responsible for devising and implementing training to ensure maximum effectiveness of all WebEx sales people. He/she will align sales training with WebEx’s strategic direction and oversee the development and delivery of programs that improve overall productivity of the sales force.
In addition he/she will: •Be responsible for collaborating with various internal departments and external resources to provide training for Sales. •Manage and assist with preparation of lesson plans including the method, media and documentation to be presented. •Evaluate and measure the applicability of course materials and the effectiveness of training programs. •Work directly with members of the sales management team to analyze, identify, define and address training and organizational development needs that support the business objectives of the organization. •Participate in the Sales New Hire process for WorldWide participants: Training designed to bring employees up to speed quickly and make them effective contributors as soon as possible •Travel, both domestic and international, is required for up to 25% of the time.
Overall Responsibilities: •Deliver sales related classes to new hire employees of our company as well as our partner’s company •Develop new classes according to our sales methodology and strategy •Deliver classes to our sales people to improve their sales performance •Program management: Continuous refinement, management and maintenance of sales training initiatives •Course scheduling and coordination •Identification of key sales requirements for incremental course additions and course improvements to curriculum; including but not limited to Productivity Tools, Product and Selling Skills •Management of sales training environment, labs, and tools •Inventory of sales employee past training history •Establishment and Rollout of Learning Management database •Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training programs/initiatives and drive changes to improve. •Collaborate with various internal departments and external resources to gain insights and leverage best practices. •Collaborate with staff, peers and management to ensure the department is achieving business goals. Communicate continuously and resolve issues proactively. •Assist with Sales Department event planning as necessary
•Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred. •3 years of sales training experience is required. •3 years of sales experience is required. •2 years of sales management experience is preffered •Stellar presentation skills are essential. •Excellent oral and written communication skills are mandatory. •Has proven experience managing projects and meeting deadlines. •Is able to work in a fast paced, team environment. •Leadership and coaching skills are required. •Has proven ability to create effective sales/training material. •Event planning experience required. •Fluent English is a plus.
